Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this position sorts and delivers mail and packages on campus for the College.
Duties include:
collecting and distributing College mail and other materials; determining the proper postage for all outgoing mail; and operating customer service window when needed; and filling in for the mail courier when needed; and delivery of packages for the receiving department throughout the college.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Collects and distributes mail on main campus in a walking and driving golf cart route.
Sorts and delivers mail and packages on campus.
Sells stamps and handles money.
Assists in the mailroom.
Delivers packages for the receiving area.
Follows safe work procedure and techniques.
Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or the equivalent; Minimum one (1) year of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Knowledge of the U.
S.
Post Office mailing system helpful.
Valid Florida driver's license.
Knowledge of staff, faculty, and administration and their associated departments helpful.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications and operating various office/postal machines.
Use of Q-trak software on personal phone for tracking delivered packages.
Ability to pay attention to detail, be accurate, work independently and with others, be people oriented; follow verbal and written instructions, and be self-motivated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as medium work involving lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Substantial amount of time spent outdoors.
If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.
