We are looking to fill a dockhand position.
Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism is a must as this position interacts frequently with the members.
Boat handling skills are a plus but will be trained to properly handle customer boats in a safe manner.
Pay $16.
00/hr.
The work schedule will include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities Dock hand is responsible for assisting with all services offered, quality control, and cash handling procedures; maintains a clean and safe dock area, assists guests safely getting in and out of boats, and secures company property.
Spot the forklift operator while moving boats to and from racks and the water.
Move boats by hand from launch area to staging dock and wet slips, may need to drive the boat.
Safely secure boats to dock using proper dock lines and fenders.
Rinse boat hulls, flush engines, and fuel boats.
Assist customers with docking of their boat, help customers with carts, coolers, fishing equipment etc.
Routine maintenance such as light maintenance, cleaning, weeding, removing trash, and organizing between assisting consumers.
Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to your manager.
Qualifications Dockhands are expected to be on their feet most of the shift and working outdoors.
Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and corporate goals.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
Adaptable to a fast-paced environment Some knowledge of marina operations or willingness to be trained in them.
Eligible candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test as part of our Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) and background check screening.
